Геопиксис углеродистый (Geopyxis carbonaria) - вид грибов рода Geopyxis. Встречается в Ленинградской области и северо-западной России, включая Санкт-Петербург. Гриб растет на обгоревших деревьях, пнях и угольных остатках, часто образуя небольшие группы или одиночные экземпляры. Шляпка гриба достигает диаметра 1-4 см, имеет желто-коричневый или красно-коричневый цвет. Ножка тонкая, высотой 2-6 см. Споры белые, эллиптические, размером 10-15 х 5-7 мкм. Гриб встречается с мая по сентябрь, предпочитает кислые почвы и умеренно влажные места обитания. В Санкт-Петербурге Geopyxis carbonaria можно найти в лесах и парках, где произошли пожары или имеется значительное количество древесных остатков. Гриб является сапротрофом и играет роль в разложении органических веществ.
